The Nac Mac Feegle — also called the Wee Free Men — are six-inch-tall, blue-skinned, heavily tattooed pictsies who drink, fight, steal, and occasionally help Tiffany Aching save the world. They were thrown out of Fairyland for being drunk and disorderly, which they consider a badge of honour. Their clan structure is matriarchal: the kelda is the leader, the only female, and the one who does the actual thinking. The males are organised into fighting groups led by a Big Man and supported by a gonnagle (the clan's bard, whose terrible poetry can actually cause physical harm). They view death as simply going to a different world, which makes them spectacularly fearless.
