The young and earnest Chief Constable of the Shires, the sole police officer covering the rural area around Ramkin Hall. He lives with his old mum and takes his duties very seriously despite having virtually no training, experience, or resources. He idolises Commander Vimes and owns a well-thumbed copy of the Laws and Ordinances of Ankh-Morpork. He is brave, eager to learn, and fundamentally decent.
