The elderly werewolf patriarch of the von Uberwald family and father of Wolfgang and Angua. He spends increasing amounts of time in wolf form and has difficulty maintaining his human shape and mind. His deteriorating condition is a source of concern for the Baroness and a political complication for the family's standing in Uberwald.
