Balin An old, white-bearded dwarf who wears a scarlet hood and is the eldest of the company after Thorin. He serves as the company's look-out man and is notably fond of the hobbit. He is Dwalin's brother and one of the most decent and loyal members of the company. | Member |
Dwalin A dwarf with a blue beard tucked into a golden belt and very bright eyes under a dark-green hood. He is the first dwarf to arrive at Bilbo's door and is Balin's brother. He is practical and blunt in manner. | Member |

Fíli One of the youngest dwarves in the company, recognisable by the tip of his long nose and his blue hood. He is Kili's brother and Thorin's nephew. He is nimble, has the best eyesight among the dwarves, and is skilled with ropes. He falls defending Thorin in the Battle of Five Armies. | Member |
Kíli One of the youngest dwarves in the company and brother to Fili, wearing a blue hood. He is Thorin's nephew and, along with Fili, is usually sent to scout ahead due to their youth and sharp eyes. He falls defending Thorin in the Battle of Five Armies. | Member |
Gimli Gimli is a Dwarf of the Lonely Mountain, the son of Glóin (one of the original members of Thorin's company in The Hobbit). He represents the Dwarves in the Fellowship of the Ring and is a fierce, proud warrior with an axe and an unwavering sense of honour. Gimli's initial distrust of Elves - particularly Legolas - gives way to one of the most celebrated friendships in the story, and his awestruck devotion to the Elf-queen Galadriel after visiting Lothlórien is one of the trilogy's most touching moments. Gimli brings humour, heart, and an outsider's appreciation for the wonders of Middle-earth to the Fellowship. | Member |
