Stay up to date with your contributions, requests, and account activity.
How notifications work
OpenFiction sends you in-app notificationsto keep you informed about things that matter to you. You'll see a bell icon in the dashboard sidebar with a count of unread notifications.
You can also receive email notifications for important events like contribution reviews and content request updates.
What triggers notifications
- Contribution reviewed - when a curator approves or rejects your contribution
- Content request updated - when the status of a request you submitted or voted on changes
- Account changes - when your account role or status changes
Managing your preferences
You can enable or disable in-app notifications from your profile settings. Look for the Notifications section and toggle the switch.
When notifications are turned off, you won't receive any in-app alerts. You can turn them back on at any time.
Reading and clearing notifications
Visit your notifications page to see all your notifications. You can mark individual notifications as read, or use "Mark all as read" to clear them all at once.
Read notifications older than 90 days are automatically removed to keep things tidy.
