The Rings of Power
Object
Magical rings forged during the Second Age. Sauron, disguised as Annatar ('Lord of Gifts'), taught the Elven-smiths of Eregion the craft of ring-making. Together they forged the Nine (given to mortal Men, who became the Nazgul), the Seven (given to Dwarf-lords, most of which were consumed by dragons or reclaimed by Sauron), and the Three (made by Celebrimbor alone, untouched by Sauron's hand, worn by Elrond, Galadriel, and Gandalf). All were linked to the One Ring, and when it was destroyed, the power of the Three also faded.
