The vast territories to the south of Gondor, a land of deserts, grasslands, and jungles. Its peoples, the Haradrim, are frequently allied with or dominated by Sauron and wage war against Gondor throughout the Third Age. The Haradrim bring war-oliphaunts to the Battle of the Pelennor Fields. Harad is a distant and little-known land to the peoples of the northwest.
