Three catastrophic events in the First Age when Elves slew Elves, driven by the terrible Oath of Feanor and the lust for the Silmarils. The First Kinslaying occurred at Alqualonde when the Noldor seized the ships of the Teleri. The Second was the sack of Doriath, and the Third the assault on the Havens of Sirion. These acts of kin-murder are among the deepest shames of the Noldor and bring a curse upon the House of Feanor.
