Also called Orodruin (Mountain of Fire), a great volcano in the heart of Mordor where Sauron forged the One Ring in its fires. Only in those same fires can the Ring be unmade. Mount Doom is the destination of Frodo's quest and the site of the Ring's destruction. The Sammath Naur (Chambers of Fire) within the mountain are where both the forging and the unmaking take place.
