The barony seat of Mejis, a beautiful coastal town on the edge of the Clean Sea. From High Street one can see the bay, the docks, and many-coloured boathouses. Newer buildings are adobe while older ones are brick, reminiscent of Gilead's Old Quarter. Hambry is where the young Roland was sent with Cuthbert Allgood and Alain Johns, ostensibly to count horse stock for the Affiliation but in truth to keep them safe from the intrigues at Gilead. It was here that Roland fell in love with Susan Delgado and confronted the Big Coffin Hunters.
