Sentient diamond-shaped creatures who use large seed-pod wheels to travel across their world. They have a trunk-like appendage and a complex civilisation built around their symbiotic relationship with the great trees whose seed pods they use. The mulefa can see sraf naturally and their way of life depends upon the flow of Dust.
