The training facility for male channellers (Asha'man), established by Rand al'Thor on a farm south of Caemlyn. Under the leadership of Mazrim Taim, it grew rapidly into a complex intended to rival the White Tower, with plans for a massive walled compound. Ranks within the Black Tower are soldier (lowest), Dedicated (marked by a silver sword pin), and Asha'man (marked by both the silver sword and a red-and-gold dragon pin). The Black Tower was corrupted from within by Taim, who was secretly a Darkfriend.
