The capital of Altara, lying on the southern coast at the mouth of the River Eldar. Most buildings are white, some banded with strips of colour. The Tarasin Palace is the seat of the monarch and home of the Throne of the Winds. Like Illian, the city has many canals with ornate bridges, and the culture is known for its duelling customs and distinctive fashions.
