A military organisation dedicated to finding and destroying Darkfriends and Shadowspawn, also known as Whitecloaks for their characteristic white cloaks. Founded during the War of the Hundred Years, they are fanatical in their beliefs and consider all who oppose them to be Darkfriends, including Aes Sedai. Their Questioners (the Hand of the Light) are particularly feared for their brutal interrogation methods. Based in Amador, the capital of Amadicia, until the Seanchan conquest.
