The female half of the One Power, drawn from the True Source. Unlike saidin, channelling saidar requires surrender - a woman must open herself to the flow rather than fighting to control it. Saidar was never tainted by the Dark One, allowing the Aes Sedai to continue channelling throughout the Third Age while male channellers were hunted and gentled.
