Twisted offspring of Trollocs in which the human stock resurfaces, tainted by the Shadow's evil. Eyeless and pale, they can see without eyes and possess the unnerving ability to fade into shadows, using them to travel instantly between distant locations. They serve as commanders of Trolloc forces, binding them together through a link of fear and compulsion. Their black swords, quenched in living humans during forging, cause wounds that fester and resist Healing. Known by many names including Halfmen, Fades, and the Eyeless.
