Magical weapons on Roshar that can cut through any non-living material and sever the soul of living things, leaving the body intact but the limb dead and useless. There are two types: dead Shardblades (abandoned by their spren during the Recreance, summoned by heartbeats) and living Shardblades (manifested by a bonded spren in the present). Dead Blades scream in a Radiant's mind. Living Blades can transform into any weapon or tool their spren chooses.
