A magic system from the Rose Empire on Sel in which practitioners called Forgers create soulstamps - intricately carved stamps that rewrite the history of an object or person by providing a plausible alternate past. The rewritten history must be believable; the more plausible the alternate past, the longer the Forgery holds. Forgery can transform a crude table into a masterwork, alter the composition of materials, or even rewrite a person's memories and personality.
