A mysterious, ancient worldhopper who appears in nearly every Cosmere novel under different guises and names - Wit in the Stormlight Archive, informant in Mistborn, beggar in Elantris. Hoid was present at the Shattering of Adonalsium and has lived for thousands of years. He collects forms of Investiture from different worlds and seems to be working toward a goal that spans the entire Cosmere. He is a master storyteller and often serves as a source of cryptic wisdom.
