The collective term for the three magic systems of Scadrial: Allomancy (burning metals to produce various effects, powered by Preservation), Feruchemy (storing attributes in metals for later use, a balance of Preservation and Ruin), and Hemalurgy (stealing abilities through metal spikes driven through the body, powered by Ruin). Each system uses the same sixteen base metals but in fundamentally different ways. A person who can use all three is called a Full Feruchemist, a Mistborn, or a Hemalurgist respectively.
