Massive storms that regularly sweep across Roshar from east to west, carrying devastating winds, lightning, and debris. All life on Roshar has adapted to the storms - plants retract, animals shelter, and buildings are designed to withstand the assault. Critically, highstorms carry Stormlight, recharging gemstones left exposed to them. The storms are connected to the Stormfather, a powerful spren who is a remnant of the Shard Honor.
