People born with the ability to manipulate matter at its most fundamental level using the Small Science. In Ravka, Grisha serve in the Second Army and are trained at the Little Palace in Os Alta. They are divided into three orders - Corporalki (the Order of the Living and the Dead), Etherealki (the Order of Summoners), and Materialki (the Order of Fabrikators). In other nations, Grisha face very different fates: hunted as witches in Fjerda, experimented upon in Shu Han, and exploited in Kerch.
