The Fjerdans view Grisha as unnatural abominations and train an elite military order called the druskelle to hunt and kill them. Fjerdan society is deeply religious, patriarchal, and militaristic, with the ice court of their capital serving as both palace and prison. Their persecution of Grisha drives several major plotlines across both trilogies.
