Under the leadership of Naib Stilgar, Sietch Tabr became the home base of Paul Muad'Dib and a centre of Fremen resistance against Harkonnen rule. It was here that Paul and Jessica were first accepted by the Fremen, where Chani bore the Atreides twins, and where early experiments in sietch agriculture began under the influence of Pardot Kynes' ecological vision.
