A specialised Fremen signalling device used by spice scouts to mark spice blows in the desert. Included in the Fremkit, the baradye pistol fired flares or markers visible from great distances, alerting harvesting crews to the location of a new spice deposit. While not a weapon in the conventional sense, it was an essential tool for the spice harvesting operations that sustained the Fremen economy.
