Packed in a small bundle with shoulder straps weighing approximately 10 kg, the Fremkit contained literjons, a stilltent, energy caps, recaths, a sandsnork, binoculars, a repkit, sinkchart, a baradye pistol, filtplugs, a paracompass, maker hooks, a thumper, and a fire pillar. The kit may have held ceremonial significance as well as practical value, possibly presented to Fremen youth as a rite of passage into adulthood. An accompanying micro-manual contained confidential information about sandworm riding and melange uses.
