The Suk School of Medicine, founded on Kaitain in 2401 to train physicians who could be trusted to attend the Imperial Family and Great Houses. Students were selected before the age of two and subjected to rigorous Imperial Conditioning, a programme of progressive behavioural training believed to make graduates incapable of taking human life. Conditioned physicians were marked with a diamond forehead tattoo. The myth of unbreakable conditioning was shattered when Dr Wellington Yueh betrayed House Atreides, and the school declined further when Leto II withdrew Imperial financial support.
