The wealthiest and most powerful of the Free Cities, built upon a cluster of islands in a lagoon at the northwestern tip of Essos. It was founded by escaped slaves who fled Valyrian dragonlords, and its location was kept secret for generations. The city is famed for its Titan, the Iron Bank, the Sealord's Palace, and the House of Black and White.
