Guest Right
Concept
A sacred custom of hospitality throughout Westeros, by which a host may offer no harm to a guest beneath their roof, nor a guest to their host. It is invoked when a guest eats the host's bread and salt. Violations of guest right are considered among the most grievous sins in Westerosi culture, on a level with kinslaying, and are said to bring the wrath of the gods.
