One of the Free Cities of Essos, located on the western coast across the narrow sea from King's Landing. Pentos is ruled by a council of wealthy magisters who elect a prince as a figurehead. The city has strong trade ties with Westeros and is the closest Free City to the Seven Kingdoms.
