The vast central grasslands of Essos, home to the Dothraki horse lords. An ocean of grass stretching from the Free Cities to the Bone Mountains, it is traversed by khalasars (Dothraki hordes) following their nomadic way of life. The only permanent Dothraki settlement is Vaes Dothrak, the sacred city beneath the Mother of Mountains where all khalasars gather and no blood may be shed.
