A great river system in the centre of Westeros, formed by the junction of the Red Fork, Blue Fork, and Green Fork. The Trident gives the Riverlands much of their character and fertility. Its fords and crossings have been the site of numerous decisive battles throughout Westerosi history, including the Battle of the Trident during Robert's Rebellion.
