A Valyrian steel bastard sword that was the ancestral weapon of House Mormont of Bear Island for five centuries. It is lighter and sharper than ordinary steel, with a distinctive rippled surface characteristic of Valyrian steel. The pommel was reshaped from a bear to a wolf's head when it passed to a new owner.
