The ancestral greatsword of House Dayne of Starfall, forged from the metal of a fallen star. Unlike Valyrian steel blades, Dawn is pale as milkglass and is said to be as sharp as any Valyrian weapon. It is not passed from lord to lord but is wielded only by a knight deemed worthy of the title Sword of the Morning.
