Dark mode and a theme you can choose
Choose your theme - on your profile page you can now set the site to Light, Dark, or System (follow your device). Your choice is saved to your account, so it carries across your devices, and there is a proper dark mode throughout the site. The page picks the right look the moment it loads, with no flash of the wrong theme.
Readable dark mode - we tuned the colours for dark backgrounds so links, labels, badges and form controls all stay clear and legible.
Hover previews on more pages - links written into the intro text at the top of the universes, series, authors, groups, books and characters pages now show the same hover preview cards as everywhere else.
Tidier genre counts - a genre now only counts a series as "in" the genre when every book in that series belongs to it. Previously a genre could claim a whole series just because one of its books was tagged, so counts are now more accurate (the individual tagged books still count).
Cleaner character lists - the "also known as" aliases no longer crowd the character lists and tables. You will still find a character's other names on their own page, and you can still search by them.
Glossaries for more books - glossaries used to belong only to a whole universe. Now a single series, or a standalone book like Pride and Prejudice or The Martian, can have its own glossary of terms, places and ideas. Look for the Glossary section on a series or book page.
