Your Data

You can download a complete copy of your personal data at any time. Go to your profile settings and click Export as JSON in the Your Data section.

The export includes your account details, reading profile, contributions, content requests, and votes - everything linked to your account in a machine-readable JSON file.

Here's a summary of the personal data we hold:

• Account details - your email address and display name
• Reading profile - which books you've marked as read or currently reading
• Contributions - any data you've added or edited
• Content requests - requests you've submitted and votes you've cast
• Notification preferences - whether you have in-app notifications enabled

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active. Some data has automatic retention periods:

• Entity change history - kept for 1 year, then automatically deleted
• Read notifications - kept for 90 days, then automatically deleted
• Search queries - anonymised and kept for 90 days
• Soft-deleted content - permanently removed after 30 days

If you delete your account, your personal data is permanently removed after a 30-day cooling-off period. See deleting your account for details.
