The god Apollo has been cast out of Olympus by Zeus and sent to earth as a mortal teenager named Lester Papadopoulos. Powerless, unheroic, and entirely unaccustomed to being mortal, he must find his way to Camp Half-Blood and begin undoing the damage caused by a mysterious group called the Triumvirate. The first Trials of Apollo novel is a sharp left turn in tone, using Apollo's narcissism as a lens for examining the series' mythology from an unexpected angle.
