A horrifying process used by the Red Ship Raiders in which captives are stripped of all human emotion, empathy, and connection, leaving them alive but hollow - capable of acting only on base instinct and self-interest. Forged ones are neither dead nor truly alive in any meaningful sense. The process is connected to the Skill and represents one of its darkest applications. Forging is the primary weapon of the Pale Woman and the Outislander attacks.
