Memory stone records the thoughts, emotions, and experiences of those who touch it, which can overwhelm or absorb unwary visitors. Skill pillars allow instantaneous travel between locations. The Rain Wild Traders' cities are built among ruins of memory stone, and prolonged exposure causes physical changes in the inhabitants.
