One of the four distinct types of light on the Discworld, also called 'the light fantastic'. It is the opposite of light - not darkness, which is merely light's absence, but the light that lies on the far side of darkness. It can be seen as the dull, sullen glow that fills rooms where powerful magical artefacts are kept.
