Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time is one of the most ambitious and influential epic fantasy series ever written - 14 novels spanning over four million words, thousands of named characters, and a richly detailed world built on mythology from dozens of cultures. The story begins with five young people from a remote village drawn into a struggle against the Dark One, the embodiment of evil imprisoned since the creation of the world, and follows them as they discover their roles in a prophecy that may save or destroy civilisation.
